I just glanced through some of it. Weird trends.I remember in the heart of the recession us having the largest YOY decline in profit ever. My center manager says guys 2 more years of this and ups won't be making money anymore.
My thought process: so two more years of progressively worse quarters (not just worse, historically worse) and then we won't be out of business. We just won't be making money.
I'm not gonna say it.
How much fuel do they buy at a future price?I just glanced through some of it. Weird trends.
Revenue per piece is down. Next day air took the biggest hit. Kind of confusing. Fuel is up almost 200 million. Can't figure out how that is, fuel has not gone up that much year over year. Then the one that really sticks out like a sore thumb, purchased transportation up 400 million. Can you say contractors?
I'm not sure. I believe the airline side of it is heavily hedged, as most are. But I'm not sure about our side of it.How much fuel do they buy at a future price?
Just thinking, maybe they bought a crap load more than usual, Rep. President=higher gas prices?I'm not sure. I believe the airline side of it is heavily hedged, as most are. But I'm not sure about our side of it.
It would make sense. It looks like they played around a lot with foreign currency. Smart, but riskyJust thinking, maybe they bought a crap load more than usual, Rep. President=higher gas prices?
These new drones will eat up a lot of fuel.....I'm not sure. I believe the airline side of it is heavily hedged, as most are. But I'm not sure about our side of it.
Well, a 747 with full tanks is about 54,000 gallons. Try paying for that sucker

ORION is not going to add 200 million in fuel expenses.Orion
I came in one day early peak. A new loader had loaded about 15 large next day air boxes on the rear end of the 7000 shelf....... it did not go well 4 him........Then my loader puts the air on 7000 shelf. Lol.
They load our cars for Monday during the Saturday preload. You get two different loaders, one each day. Airs are all over the place. It's actually funny as hell.I came in one day early peak.
