Hospice nurses are still nurses and while they may personally hope that their patient gies to a better place ethically and morally they are not allowed to knowingly participate.
I would consider this a naive and weird statement but then I've learned a bit about you over the years.

The internet is acting weird today. Chrome acting slow, and not loading buttons, Firefox slow on new page and giving a script error on each new page, and edge not allowing the buttons to be pushed.

Sometimes the hospice nurse will quietly help the patient move on. One of the dirty little secrets that gets ignored.
Not true. What happens is by time hospice is called, the patient is in, or near, complete organ shutdown. Heavy amounts of narcotics are prescribed for pain. They usually slip into a coma as oxygen levels drop, a direct result of organ failure, not from drugs used.
