It was me. I admit it. I made one post, tried to post a second and it crashed. Wouldn’t let me. lol.

This must have been painful for some on here.

So, Tony woke me up this morning by saying "I have something to tell you that I don't want to tell you. Browncafe is down".

So the entire server was down and I couldn't figure out how to revive it. I contacted tech support at the company that maintains the server. They got the server back online but the websites still wouldn't load. They couldn't help with the websites...

I contacted my go to genius tech guy who lives in the UK. It was Saturday night there. He's a young very active guy so I thought it was unlikely he'd be available to help out. His original response was he was out for the night and wouldn't get back to his computer until morning.



5 minutes later genius tech guy messaged me that he was able to log into our server from his phone and techy talk I don't understand fix stuff. All the other websites came back online. This one had some database issues, but he told me how to fix the database tables.

Fun morning... not

I usually check in on vacation too. It's usually easy to do. We went on 5 cruises last year and I did my internet stuff every day. Except in Galapagos, no service around most of the islands.

Galapagos pretty much qualifies as the middle of nowhere.

I thought those islands were very restricted to tourists.

It's super regulated. Not very many tourists at one time. The animals aren't afraid of humans, so they walk or swim right up to you.
