Why though?

It's :censored2: like this that is the pussification of our nation. Sure they seem like minor things but they all add up. Just like not having school because it's too hot or cold out.

It would allow more parents to go out with their kids, and keep them off the streets on a work day.

Not really right, but it kinda makes sense.

It would allow more parents but Halloween is October 31. and you have plenty of parents that work the weekends too.

As long as it was the same weekend you could plan around it but with it being the 31st just leave it that day and you can plan around it.

Plus 90% of places are going to lame ass trunk and treats in parking lots or malls anyway now.

I would have to agree with moving Halloween to the last Sat. in Oct. It would be simple to do (a stroke of the pen). Halloween has become a major holiday not only for kids but adults too. Let the kids eat all their candy on a weekend instead of a school night. Let the adults have Sunday to sober up. I used to think Super Bowl should be on a Saturday night also but now I could care less. Football sucks.

There is a growing movement nationwide to move it to the last Saturday in Oct. permanently. Probably not a bad idea.
Have the kids run around the same night as all the adult parties and bar events. Brilliant! Nothing could go wrong there.

Those old theaters are nothing like the modern ones made to just see a movie. There is a similar place near here. I'm not a Les Miz fan but my wife was nuts over Phantom.
When I went to the movies as a teenager (every weekend) we went to the Lowe's, the Palace , the Strand and all the downtown ornate theaters. I didn't appreciate them then and they are remodeled now.

A lot were built in the 1920's and have been restored to original condition. The Ohio theater is the long reigning champ but the Palace is close after it was restored,

The mayors wife posted something talking about the phone calls and texts they got from parents concerned about their kids being out in inclement weather.

I'm like

1) you know who didn't call or text the large majority who were perfectly fine with it.

2) who in the :censored2: thinks it's ok to call the mayor because they are worried about their kid getting wet? Geeeeeeezus

3) you just caved to a group of crazy soccer moms. Congrats now they know they can bitch enough to get their way.

This is basically what I told my wife last night when I was causing an uproar. She's like why can't you just sit back and laugh at these idiots like everyone else.

I said because if there's 400 people sitting on the sidelines and 5 people actively bitching guess who gets what they want.....the 5 and that's exactly what happened.
As my father has always said, Squeaky wheel gets the most grease.

Its todays culture. If you throw a tantrum you are more important than those who behave more reasonably.

Crazy times we’re living in. Manager on Saturday was telling me that so and so was on a certain route Saturday....IF she shows up. They’ve said that before about someone else. I’m like, Wuutt? What do you mean IF she shows up? Is that how it is now??? No repercussions. Crazy!!

It's unfortunate the squeaky wheel has become what it has.
My buddy and I were just talking about this. Listen, you guys know I consider myself liberal. But these young adults that grew up with anti bully campaigns, never learned to deal with adversity. Now they are raising little millennial monsters.
