Short of telling them Santa isn’t real how do you explain why their friend got $1000 gifts and they got underwear?


Now personally it never once crossed my as a kid why this would be so I think some of it is projecting our feelings of insecurity on kids.

The disparity between haves and have nots is probably greater today than when we were kids. You may have changed my mind.
