The frustrating part is some rooms have shiplap so I don’t have to look for a stud. Easy peasy

I never seen shiplap used inside older homes here. Everything is plaster. You might see it on porches That's it.

Most older homes (100-150 years old) around here were plaster. I have only seen shiplap in a few old farm houses.

To be honest. A stud finder never works for me. It's annoying as ! I do the knocking method.
