Well looks like Nationals are going to win it.
A high school acquaintance of mine just bought one of the biggest houses there. His wife wants to run a bed and breakfast there.My uncle has been down there tearing down some of the old housing projects

Basically Illinois politics. They’d been stashing away money for years that was supposed to go to upkeep.
I forget what the demo bid was. Something insane like 8 million to tear down 3 buildings.
I was like give me a gas can and a match and I’ll demo them for 100k. Lol

Time will tell. We had several old delapitated buildings downtown that should have been torn down but one gal check into low interest building loans offered by the city and she got a few improvement grants from somewhere and ended up some nice looking buildings now that are filled with new businesses.Like I said gonna piss away a lot of money.

The problem isn’t really the building I don’t think. Pretty sure they bought a 4500 sq ft home for less than 100k. It’s the town. It’s a totalTime will tell.
