they are already not paying. meanwhile a majority of the welfare goes to them.@rickyb loves the idea? True commie-socialist property grab.
Only catch might be, the super rich flee the state. Then CA gets nothing.
So California will be flush with cash in no time flat?they are already not paying. meanwhile a majority of the welfare goes to them.
america is already flush with cash but you let a few rich s keep it all and the govt mostly funds welfare programs for them instead of funding social programsSo California will be flush with cash in no time flat?
So this idea is gold. These rich folk will fork over their wealth to the state?america is already flush with cash but you let a few rich s keep it all and the govt mostly funds welfare programs for them instead of funding social programs
im reading michael hudson right now. richard wolff is very much in favor of taxing the rich.So this idea is gold. These rich folk will fork over their wealth to the state?
What increases?im reading michael hudson right now. richard wolff is very much in favor of taxing the rich.
when trump passed his tax plan were you against the increases for average joes?

"Tax the rich, feed the poor, until there are, no rich no more."im reading michael hudson right now. richard wolff is very much in favor of taxing the rich.

the state funds programs. it doesnt necessarily have to tax. do you think the state taxed to pay for the bailouts?"Tax the rich, feed the poor, until there are, no rich no more."
Then what do you do? What the rich fleeing New York and California has exposed is they pay the bulk of the taxes. It's why you have governors now imploring that the rich come back. They let their cities go to hell, let crime and drug use and homelessness escalate, then are shocked to find that those who can leave are doing just that. And the final straw appears to be standing by while "protesters" loot, burn, and attack. People have had enough. You think they don't pay their fair share but the bottom half of incomes pay very little. All those programs that you want are paid for by people with money. Who don't exist just to turn over everything to the state. If the state wants their money they have to insure their security. Otherwise they leave.
Individual states don't exist without taxes. Unlike the Federal government they don't have the ability to print money. And if all it took to keep everyone happy was to print money the Federal government would gladly do it. There are a number of reasons that won't work. Too much money in circulation devalues it and causes inflation. In spite of what your radical friends tell you they can't just print our troubles away. Not to mention if the government just gave us a paycheck where would be the incentive to work? Things would fall apart quickly. That is what is at the root of recent protests. There was a time when the government more or less paid people to stay home. This made a lot of working people angry and so there was welfare reform. So a lot of people who aren't prepared for anything else are stuck in jobs they hate in order to get assistance. If the government would just pay out they could stay home and relax.the state funds programs. it doesnt necessarily have to tax. do you think the state taxed to pay for the bailouts?

Excuse me, it's up to each state to fund it's own programs and if they overspend it's not up to the Federal government to bail them out. And now with many high income taxpayers fleeing those states the fit is hitting the shan.yea im talking about federal govt.
the federal govt bailed out hte rich and creditors and are now going to stick it to the states with the excuse "we spent all the money" and they will impose class warfare like cutting pensions, cutting funds to public services.
im talking about the federal govt finds the money to spend. i agree states dont have a money printer.Excuse me, it's up to each state to fund it's own programs and if they overspend it's not up to the Federal government to bail them out.
