Oh. No, my curiosity was piqued by statement about the Spanish-speaking population in the area of which you deliver.

When someone is so close to the Canadian border, especially the eastern part, the second most used language will be French. In lower NY Spanish may be more prevalent, but it's not the case up there so his assentation is possibly correct.
