When has the U.S. interfered with elections there? No doubt the CIA has played games but since Hugo Chavez took over when has it happened? Their economy is on Chavez and Maduro.
sanctions for starters?

if you look up richard wolffs twitter feed hes got a link to US interference in venezuela from a brown uni prof.

Yes a free market and the people’s right to choose.

Like the people of Venezuela right now are choosing to flock to bitcoin because their native currency is expected to have 1 million percent inflation this year.
Much more likely to flock to the U.S. Dollar. The Dollar is king in Latin America. By the way inflation there last year was "only" 80,000%.

is venezuela a free market if the US govt is constantly interfering with the elections there?
I never claimed they were. I said what I’m for.

Right now they are trying to ban crypto because so many people are using it. I’m
For people having the choice.

They didn't just give sanctions for the hell of it. Maduro is a dictator who faked an election he otherwise wouldn't win. Under their constitution the rightful president, recognized by just about everyone, is being denied.

guy from france down the block says even though he makes less money in france than here, his standard of living was higher in france because cost of goods was lower.

how do you know americans arent getting ripped off on consumer goods? and working too much?
I always heard the opposite. High taxes on everything.

being free to choose isnt a good thing if youre not following the golden rule.

fact is americans might have alot of money but thats because they dont take nearly as much vacation as most other developed countries. also americans get ripped off on flights, healthcare, and college to name a few. so thats how countries which make less money than americans have higher standards of living.

you spoke with people who lived in france and america.

just because you dont pay taxes on college / healthcare for example, doesnt mean it doesnt cost you something when you use it.

The CIA has a long history of influencing elections in Latin America. But Chavez ran us out for the most part. His socialism ruined their economy because it was based on oil revenue and nationalizing private business. Which were ran into the ground. That's on him and Maduro.

And just how many Venezuelans does that involve? Most are too poor to invest in anything, including dollars.
How is one too poor to convert their money into a different type of money?

I’m simply pointing out it’s one of the major avenues being used there to combat the insane inflation.

i know they broke free from US control under chavez and maduro, but thats not to say the US wasnt messing with venezuela all along as it certainly was. it also tried a coup there back in the 2000s, and is trying another coup as we speak.

I've flown on discount airlines in the U.S. and Europe. And the countries with higher standards of living have much smaller populations as well in some cases, like Norway, oil.
