Remember the several times he made these big announcements that he would be leaving the site for a while to focus his efforts at battling the empire and making a significant impact on Fred and co? Turned out all he did was complain on another site. Or all the times he said that he and his extensive network of contacts were going to instigate a mass plague of Purple Flu? Or that he and his cohorts were going to instigate mass disruptions of operations system-wide?

Don't tempt him. With all that he accomplished with all of that other stuff :-)D), this could be the straw that brings the company tumbling down!!!!

Sorry, but this is the only site I've been on for the last 7 or 8 years. vantexan and i used to post on another site, but when I found out it was run by an an attorney trolling for cases, i never went back.

Over my career, I tried lots of times to get things to happen. Most of the time it went nowhere because too many Purple People or cowards wouldn't play ball. Sooner or later, most people find out the only way to get a problem resolved is to walk off the sort or otherwise act up.

Admit it, shill. The only way FedEx pays attention is when people do something en masse.

PSP. Maybe if you guys actually believed in what we are doing here, you would see the benefits. Fedex is positioning itself for the future. Your health matters to us at Fedex please let your management know your concerns. However if it’s “my health is at risk” be advised your basically speaking in a hypothetical situation.

Whatever it takes. I'm curious. You were heavily invested in the stock market. Are you close to being in that old folks home with only Medicaid to help you?
Exactly! Whatever it takes to protect the lives of "essential workers" is not being done company wide.
It any good comes out of this what I would like to see happen is that "essential workers' be given through legislation a legal status along with formal identification of those occupations who make up "essential worker" status. And the employers of said "essential workers" must be required to provide PPE along with employer funded health insurance, life insurance and sickness/disability benefit plan.
If said employers are still going to send workers out into hazardous work environments and making money off of them they must be held accountable for the well being of those "essential workers" beyond what we're seeing in the current crisis.

Bacha, you seem to think Fedex should just give out handouts. That is unfeasible for the company. It is in the best interest of Fedex and the investors to continue work as normal. We have been deemed essential and employees should continue to work as intended. Your welcome to reach out to HR and voice your concerns, but they are so off the wall you will be wasting your time.

Tell that to the 100,000 Americans who have contracted the disease and the families of the 2000 who have died.
Like Dano, you have clearly made way too many trips to the Fedex Mind Control And Reeducation Academy.

Maybe you haven’t been informed Mr Working for the 1%. If you or anyone you live with contract the virus Covid-19, you will be granted 2 weeks full pay.

Will someone please explain why businesses are responsible for paying employees who have been furloughed, through no fault of the company. If the business doesn’t maintain enough capital through this lockdown to reopen, no one will have a source of income. Bankruptcy isn’t how you restart a business.

2 weeks pay...what if I die..what if I get $30,000 medical in bills..again many companies understand that employees should be home with their families and paid

You should have health insurance to cover your 30k medical bills. If I remember correctly, all Fedex drivers are covered with 100k life insurance, however that may be in case of an on-road accident.

As far as I know I just have $27,000 in life insurance. Under the $2 trillion dollar law that just passed insurance companies are required to cover all virus related costs. Don’t know which plan you have, but my out of pocket limit is around $4,000. Not cheap. But not $30,000.

According to a NY Times story today, next year’s insurance premiums could go up nearly 40 percent. That would make working for Express hardly worthwhile.

Well, before this debacle, most companies had a real problem finding labor, both skilled and unskilled. I think many companies are seeing how long it lasts before they furlough.

Of course, you'd advocate anything that makes it harder on the employee than the business. Trump's big tax cut mainly went to companies buying back their own stock, so maybe they should have put some of that windfall away for a rainy day.

Thank you for your socialist response.

Now, does anyone have anything intelligent to bring to the conversation?

We were hoping we would get a little bit from you. But, we see that all we'll get is your fear mongering about "socialist" programs including those that you'll most happily enroll in someday soon if not already and among them the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation could very well be placed in charge of your pension pension plan if things don't turn around for Fat Freddy pretty darn soon.
