First of all I pray that your wounds will heal and all will be made right. The sad thing is both you and the dog were doing your jobs. The dog was defending his family from a perceived threat. The owners of the dog should have done a better job restraining the toddler. There is no way that when my son was a toddler we would have let him open the door to a stranger especially if the dog was going nuts.

I'm going for the maximum my lawyer can get for me. One of my co-workers used the same lawyer a few months ago and got $150,000. Not sure whether that was the amount before her third or after. I probably won't get anywhere near that, but I sure won't turn it down if I do. Lol.

$150K would be for permanent disfiguring injuries, most likely to the face.

$15K would be on the high end of what you should expect from your injuries.
