It's typical Trump-hating mind-clouding. People hate the guy for his alleged incompetence that they themselves become incompetent with irrationality and fail to realize that he's not making these decisions unilaterally, nor does any president have the power to do so.

And he gives his "stamp of approval" to these decisions that he discusses with his advisers because he's the only one who is called on to make the decisions. He's the only one who can issue the order. It doesn't change that the actual decision is out of his hand. He does what he feels he has no choice but to do. Far more things in consideration than the short-term stuff people think influence decision-making.

If a two week stay at home order will help defeat this virus, I think EVERYONE should stay home. Health care workers, cops, everyone. Shut it all down, no choosing your favorites to stay alive, and leaving your "Essentials" to catch and give that virus to their families.
