They give the loans! It’s government money not banks! That’s not funding? They make the loans easy to get and the colleges raise tuition. I know you live in Canada so you probably didn’t know that.

the govt is a predatory lender now for student loans, and its true when everyone is borrowing money it drives up the price like the real estate market, but aside from that higher education is comparable to infrastructure in america its not funded like it was.
