FedEx freight driver

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
I have a buddy that's considering fedex freight. Was wondering if you all could give me some info on compensation hours. Day/night.

Where would you start as a new hire? Get a :censored2:ty route? Cover vacations? Spotty work or pretty consistent? How are the benefits?

Basically what would he be getting into?

A big step down. High premiums, especially if covering a family, high deductibles, and high out of pocket maximum. As far as a pension, there's no traditional plan. It's called a portable pension account. Basically they put a very small % of your annual earnings yearly in an account which you can take as payments or lump sum. We do have a decent 401k with a company match. But that depends on how much you can save and the stock market.
