FedEx Ground FMCSA Score Sucks

Here's a fact. We don't work for fedex. MY company has 0 CSA failures.

YOUR company is part of FRED'S company, at least as far as CSA scores go. So are the assclowns who flip their set of doubles on the freeway. You're all part of the same sad circus.

Good luck with getting your own DOT numbers. I don't think that will fly.

Look guys: about 6 years ago Marsh/Protective informed Ground of it's decision to let the insurance contract with Ground expire and would not be renewed. Groundthen proceeded to search world wide for a new insurer and there were no takers. So they had to go crawling back to Marsh/Protective. This time around the outcome might be different. This information came to me directly from Ground management.

STFXG may be on to something. If you want a contract you get your own operating authority and insurance for what will be some God awful premiums if you can get it at all.

Your details are a bit off but in general true.

However, now contractors are leaving Marsh in droves because they are a horrible deal. Not uncommon for IC's to save $30g's a year.

Think that the premiums are high because Ground has a crap safety record? Just a guess.

Looks like this question as is the case with many others questions asked of you will remain unanswered. Some people paint themselves into a corner. You on the other hand are one of those people who brag themselves into a corner.

What corner?

Possibly. Maybe when they look at bbsam inc. they don't see that crap safety record. That happens to be more than a guess.

That's good for bbsam. But how about Ivan and Boris, who have killed a couple of OTR drivers during the past few years, or anyone dba FedEx Ground who has a poor safety record? Is this how Fred culls the herd? Do these people have to sell-off and lose their butts, hoping someone new takes over?

But isn't that one of you big complaints? How bbsam is really an employee? But as soon as I point out the aspects where different contractors run their businesses more safely and efficiently, you want to fit the proverbial square peg in a round hole. Yes. Maybe Ivan and bacha and dvalleyjim need to get out. Maybe all Kmart and Sears stores need to close too.

Mr. Fedex is right. If you are leased onto Fedex Ground, the overall fleet safety record is all that matters. Go ahead laugh and dismiss the serious nature of what is happening but you too will be dealing with the consequences.

That is incorrect. Insurancecompanies are now looking at the individual contractor's "loss history" for workman's comp insurance (which happens to be the most expensive portion).

You won't need workmans comp if no one is willing to provide the other required coverages and there again you may have to self insure if you have to get your own authority.
