I have a brother that owns a house the size of mine (Oakland Hills) and paid

$850,000 +. Doesn't even have a yard, driveway, or garage. Nice house BTW.

His family will be moving out of Cali in the next year, so my niece won't have to

attend public jr. and sr. high school. His asking price is going to be 1.2 million.

Key words, Oakland Hills. That's where all the rich folks live. Regular Oakland, not nearly that much. You'll have a bigger house, it'll just have more of a risk of catching stray bullets lol.

And I'm sure your brothers house isn't just a 2 bedroom. No yard or driveway, that's weird. But I bet it's at least 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.

I believe my house is worth a little over 200k more then when I bought it. Should be paid off 5 years before I retire and then we'll sell it and buy outside of CA.

A realtor friend told me my house might be worth 200k and I bought for 91k 25 years ago.

The house is built on the side of a hill and has a big stream between the road

and the house. It was interesting to see how close everyone builds to each other.
