The judge should quickly dismiss that suit instead of wasting time and money. He will be under pressure to let it go forward though so it depends on political factors that shouldn't matter in that case.

‘Ferguson’ Play Cast Members Quit After Learning Truth About Michael Brown Shooting
Five cast members of the upcoming Ferguson stage play abruptly quit this week after reading the play’s script, which recreates the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown by police officer Darren Wilson using testimony taken from the grand jury proceedings in the case.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the cast members quit the production after learning the true circumstances surrounding Brown’s death. Playwright and producer Phelim McAleer told Breitbart News that the script is based strictly on grand jury testimony, with “nothing added. No dialogue, no characters.”

FERGUSON, Mo. -- A petition to recall the mayor of Ferguson lacks the required number of valid signatures, according to the St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners.

A group called Ground Level Support delivered the petition to recall Mayor James Knowles on May 28th, saying they had 400 more than the 1,800 signatures required. All signatures must be from Ferguson residents who were registered to vote during the last mayoral election.

The St. Louis County Board of Education Commissioners began verifying the signatures' validity the day the petition was turned in. Tuesday, the board announced the required number of valid signatures was not met. It says of the 2,133 signatures submitted, only 1,008 were valid.

The reasons for being invalidated include:

  • 19 were blank lines
  • 65 had no address
  • 65 had no signature
  • 562 were not registered in St. Louis County
  • 366 were registered in St. Louis County, but not in Ferguson
  • 18 had the wrong signature (they were not close to the signature in the voter database)
  • 30 signatures were duplicates

Just out of curiosity, how many times have young white men been killed by cops and how many of those cops were convicted?

Are young white men often killed without provoking the police?

This country does have a problem with portions of the police departments being overly aggressive and violent but it is not limited to African Americans.

Fryer’s study is based off detailed police reports from ten major police departments in Texas, Florida, and California. He and his student researchers examined 1,332 shootings between 2000 and 2015, and attempted to isolate race as a variable. Which is to say, they sorted police shootings by context — i.e. “at the scene of robbery,” “at night,” “after being attacked by suspect,” etc. … — and looked at whether cops were quicker to fire at black civilians, when controlling for those contexts.

Fryer calls the results of this inquiry the “most surprising” of his career: The study found no significant evidence of racial bias when controlling for context, and showed that officers were actually more likely to shoot suspects who hadn’t attacked them when those suspects were white.

So...why aren't white people upset? That's pretty messed up.
