LOL. So...Ford could change their minds at any time? They have basically said they will wait and see so if the bribe/incentive/ransom isn't good enough, if the cheeks of the UAW/middle class tax stiffs aren't spread wide enough, Mexico it is! And you call it progress? They announced today and cited Trump and his plans to reduce taxes and encourage domestic production. Not even in office and still making progress.
Using current facilities instead of building new could be some of that.Ford also said they would be investing less than half of what they would have in Mexico. Lol
Ford already employs 8800 workers in Mexico. GM, Toyota, Honda and Volkswagen also make cars in Mexico. While I agree with putting a tax on products coming in from Mexico, be prepared for Mexico to tax items we export to them.
Jobs? LolSuch as?
I believe they are our 2nd largest trade partner. Second to the EU. So I imagine they import all sorts of products from us.Such as?

In an interview on CNBC's " Halftime Report ," Fields said the decision not move forward with its San Luis Potosi, Mexico, plant was due to market demand.
"The bottom line is we're not seeing the volume and the demand that we expected for that plant. And, therefore, we're looking at our capacity and saying, 'You know what, we can build that in an existing facility and use capacity that we already have,'" he said.
