Unless their is growth, how are full time jobs created?
We haven't added any new routes.
there's always growth
well the OP is talking about full time inside jobs, so with the growth of e-commerce comes more volume which requires more sets of hands to unload/sort/load. its always been man hours vs. volume on the preload regardless of how many trucks are being loaded and how many routes go out. and if some of the full time jobs created means that the next two partimers wont be replaced when they quit (cause they always do) thats ok with me. nobodys getting laid off or getting ther hours cut or work hackedWe haven't added any new routes.
The company has been steadily getting rid of 22.3s we had 2 in our building both people retired and they simply didn’t put them up now we have part timers doing the work.3 questions:
1- Will these full time inside jobs open up in every UPS building or just in certain locations
2- When are these Full time inside jobs suppose to occur
3- Whats the pay rate of FT inside
Thanks

Is their plan to replace two part-timers with one full time, or hack work from current full time to give to another?

22.4The company does not have to make the whole 5000 jobs 22.3s. Also it's 5000 over the whole country. That means you may see none.
Pay rates can be found in the contract from fulltime inside jobs
There should be a grievance filed for not posting the 22.3's.The company has been steadily getting rid of 22.3s we had 2 in our building both people retired and they simply didn’t put them up now we have part timers doing the work.
YesIsn’t that how it’s outlined in the contract? To create full time jobs based off 2 part time jobs?
It was explained to us they were “moved” from our outlying center to a hub the local was aware of it.There should be a grievance filed for not posting the 22.3's.

Did anyone follow up to see if they were posted up in the outlying center? It was explained to us they were “moved” from our outlying center to a hub the local was aware of it.
That was the intent, but the union threw that out. We have 22.3s working one job like a 22.2 for the lower rates. Saw it coming, evidenced by the new 22.4s.Isn’t that how it’s outlined in the contract? To create full time jobs based off 2 part time jobs?
Maybe because all of these new kids that they have been hiring the last few years are skipping their lunches and breaks and acting like they are on crack while out delivering.....I saw it in my old center .....and we’re not just talking about guys who are working a little harder and smarter, these are drivers that are literally running all day through these routes to get done at 430.....We haven't added any new routes.
