union handles that. wages in north America have been flat for decades adj for inflation, so theres no raise anyways.

Please allow me to perfectly explain why socialism doesn't work:

There does NOT exist a fixed/static lump sum of wealth in the world that merely awaits distribution. Wealth can be created or destroyed (according to how efficiently human beings cooperate to produce wealth).

If the "pie" is unfairly looted by socialists and dispensed to their supporters (who did not create the pie), then guess what? It's a party (initially) until the pie runs out and nobody bakes a new pie.

Conversely, if the incentive to bake more pie is maintained through capitalism, then the pie can actually grow, which inevitably benefits poor people (for various reasons).

In other words, expanding the pie means one person getting rich does NOT mean someone else has to get poor.


Understand now, liberals? No, of course you don't!

I would say that the wealthy have a moral obligation to be generous to those in their communities. Think of the beautiful art institutes, parkland endowments, food banks, job training facilities, and many other positive "giving back" that many have and continue to do. Moral not legal.

In communism you accept what the state gives you. In capitalism you're free to work wherever they'll have you, improve your situation through hard work and acquired skills. What you seek is utopia, where you're provided with a very nice salary to obtain all that you desire with very little effort. And you'll probably resent having to make any effort.

In Europe a few hundred years back it was illegal to advertise. It keeped most of the wealth very local. Word of mouth for extraordinary Talent would escape the local Market of course. No outsourcing to China. So your community would flourish under the right conditions: Skilled labor pool, healthy young motivated growing population. This model kind of went off the tracks and replaced with a phony bankers wealth creating model. It made money the definition of good.
