Ground Driver, Am I Being Underpaid?

It was always my belief that if a person was willing to climb into one of those tin coffins on continous daily basis and go out there and bust his can all day long and often later in all kinds of weather all kinds of roads dealing with good people as well as the dregs of society then whatever they get out of it they can keep and not have to hand it all over to a middle man who in turn gives back what he wants to give him and given the numbers I hear I just don't know how they survive.
