Look, I posted this yesterday, what's hard to understand ?
The UK had .06 per 100.000 population gun related deaths last year.
The US 6 per 100.000 ! That's 100 times as many !
Now , you think, some boat from Russia (the russian mafia), will make it all the way to the UK,speculation sell guns there for a huge profit speculation, probably $10.000 per handgun speculation, so criminals can go rob someone.speculation
I don't think so. or at all really.
If they have $10.000 to start with, they are unlikely to do robberies. Maybe they buy their guns with a coupon.
And if they want to actually kill someone, they can find cheaper ways and methods. Boring them to death?
Do you like spin a wheel or something to come up with these guess` of yours?
NOW, all they have to do is make sure everyone uses the border crossings.Since 9/11, and terrorist plots and bombings in the UK and eslewhere, all borders have tougher security. I can't imagine one without a metal detector these days.
NOW, all they have to do is make sure everyone uses the border crossings.
And, I lived there until I was 27. So, definitly in the age rage, where crimes of these kinds are done.
Wait 'til you turn 60....you'll really lose it !!!
You need to visit Europe first.
They don't have wide open space like North America does.
Germany for example has 80 Million population, and easily fits in Texas.
From the southern border to the northern border is less then a days drive (about 700 miles), from east to west, even less.
I would say most of the borders are fenced, be in by government or the farmers (property owners) themselves.
Nothing comparable to this huge land mass here. 593 people live per sq mile in Germany !
Canada it's around 8 per sq mile, the US 83.
When I lived there, even though cigs, even booze was more then half the price in France or Austria (lived only 60 miles from the border to France, 100 miles to Austria).
No one in their right mind would ever think of crossing the border undedected.
That has never came up in a conversation. It's basically impossible, and the punishments too harsh.
And, I lived there until I was 27. So, definitly in the age rage, where crimes of these kinds are done.
Thanks Sober for making sure that we got the correct information.
The Schengen Agreement is a treaty was signed on 14 June 1985...

Now your making it look like if Europe had no borders since 1985 !
Klein...you need to quick drinking and get help. How do i "make it look like if Europe had no borders since 1985!" All i did was thank Sober and post a link for Wiki that explains it which is better than you talking out your arse..
And, I lived there until I was 27. So, definitly in the age rage, where crimes of these kinds are done.
hmmmm, I thought we were talking about smuggling guns into England, not Germany?
And NO, I do not need to go to the UK.
Pretty simple.
.
I guess I didn't keep up with the info of what is happening in Europe.
I admitted my mistake.
I posted before I looked if any changes were made, since my time there.
And, I seen major changes did happen.
Without the internet, I would have never believed it !
You formed an opinion based upon inaccurate facts and flawed perceptions. We've all been guilty of that at some point.
But is it possible that some of your "opinions" about guns might also be inaccurate and flawed?
You admit that you have never handled or fired a gun. Perhaps you should take the time to do some impartial and unbiased research rather than allowing your opinions about guns to be formed by inaccurate facts and flawed perceptions.
The next time you are in the USA, I would suggest that you go to one of the public shooting ranges that allow people to rent guns for target practice. Maybe you could even take a basic firearms safety course and learn the facts about guns firsthand.
Knowledge is power. Ignorance isn't.
