Anyone hear that ground will stop taking express for peak. (dont know the cut off) Was told to expect very late flights and to work multiple Sundays in Dec. Get out your flashlights!!!!!
That's cute. I'd love for them to try and tell me I'm working the weekend.

Refuse? LOL. I got confirmation from retirement years ago when my financial advisor told me about this plan. When you call them, they tell you exactly what clutter and me posted. The increase is there and there is no age limit for when the increase goes away. You are soooo bitter that you got left behind during retirement, you won't accept the fact that others did the right thing and won't have to move to a foreign country to live the good life. Sad
I chose to retire, no bitterness at all. Do you know how I know this isn't true? When a courier works less than his guarantee he gets free money and his mgr gets in trouble. If there's one thing FedEx hates it's giving away free money. If you get an 80% pension and live into your 90's they will give you hundreds of thousands extra. You think they'd do that? Those hard hearted SOB's? It makes sense to offer 2.5% extra as an incentive. It would take many years to break even with the $100,000+ they didn't shell out those 5 years. But 10%? Keep dreaming.

LOL. Knew you wouldn't be man enough to admit you were wrong. I posted the paragraph from the retirement website and you still don't believe it. Clutter posted his findings from the chart and you won't admit it. Oh well. You believe what you want while I await close to an 80% TPB

Hey tex, this man found out I was correct. LOL

Hey tex, straight from the retirement book.
Zzzzzzzzz........oh yeah, no one cares.

Before you say that I do, I drew the short straw to have to give you a reality check.

LOL. You just wont admit you are wrong. Clutter only had a few years in the Traditional. Pretty much minimum payments. My payment will go from $1850 or so to close to 3k per month by waiting 5 years. That is NOT a projection, that is stone cold facts. I will only be 65 when I start my pension, about the age many normally retire. By that time I will be retired 5 years. Plus my wife will get my increase if I pass away. The increase also applies to your beneficiary.
I just realized something. Your 50% pension payment is $1850 a month. That means your 5 year average monthly earnings were $3700 a month or $44,400 a year. Back when they terminated the plan I knew a lot of topped out couriers who made mid $50's or more. The only way you as a topped out courier all those years could have such a low 5 year average is you were one of those couriers who never worked OT, never worked Saturdays, went home early all the time. This explains a lot. Always shooting off your mouth. Son, you're all hat and no cattle.

Here's something you might be interested in. Social Security 2100 plan raises the minimum monthly benefit to 125% of the federal poverty level.

But, here is the big news in your case. The 5 month waiting period to make first application SSD will be eliminated.

S*!ks to be you. This wasteful spending proposal is in the legislation being introduced to Congress by those evil communist sympathizing pinko liberal Democrats. And therefore your principals won't allow you to apply for SSD earlier even though your worsening health would likely make you a sure bet approved application .

Wait a minute! I forgot! In your mind's eye any Democrat sponsored social program legislation that betters your lot in life is good. Anything that doesn't is "socialism" and "wasteful spending".

Whoops! Too bad. When your party takes control of Congress again Social Security 2100 will never make it out of committee. Just forget about it.

Doesn't mean it's a good idea. The latest 5.9% cola is projected to push SS trust fund insolvency to 2033 from 2034. I'm glad my parents are getting that cola, and I hope my mom gets what you posted because her SS puts her below the poverty line. I give her $150 a month and my dad gives her $130. My very liberal brother who makes $65k a year and who's wife is a registered nurse and makes even more refuses to give her anything. I've noticed that about liberals, always willing to spend money we don't have as long as it's someone else's. If that can be paid for great but if SS can't meet its obligations in 12 years how are we going to pay for it? Find a way that won't break the bank and I'm all for it.

It just kills you to see others prosper while you live in poverty. I got out of the Traditional the day the Portable came online. I already had more than 25 years so there was no benefit to stay. I believe it was a few more years before they terminated the plan. I really don't remember when it terminated. I was also at a station that wasn't top pay. Work Saturday? Why would I work Saturday? That was for chumps like you that couldn't manage their money and needed more OT. Son, your broke and I am not!!!! Sweet

Ha, you were topped out and they terminated the pension plan 3 years after they gave us the choice to voluntarily move into the portable pension. If you had worked a decent amount of OT you would have had a minimum high 40's 5 year average. Shirker! And I'm not living in poverty doofus.

Van, everyone doesn't want to work OT.
Some don't have to and find a better use to their lives than working extra hours, if they don't.

Either way, my $1850 TPB will be close to $3000 in just a couple of more years. Makes you sick doesn't it. LOL

Yeah, but he who lives in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. When they announced in early 2007 that the plan was being terminated in 2008 I volunteered for everything possible. Had my highest grossing year of $48k on $14 something an hour. Since he was making at least $20hr then he should have easily sailed into the high $40's. A topped out person with a 5 highest paid years average of $44.5k has no business snarking about anyone. A lot of people here have tried to tell him they didn't get the fast top out deal he got and he laughs at them, calls them names, says they're lazy, etc. He obviously got a cush route early on and did the bare minimum. The kind of guy who never helps out.

All of that is understood, I've said like things to him in the past. No one knows his assets, I don't care to know them.

He did say he hopes he bounces his last check when he dies.
That statement leaves me to believe he doesn't have the wealth he claims.
No man with wealth bounces his last check.

Falcon back claims he’s retired but I don’t really believe him. He has no credibility here and won’t prove it. Besides some of his other social media suggests otherwise.

Why shouldn't he? He likes to demand people prove things, yet when he's asked for proof, he hides from it.

Not that it matters. I truely don't believe anything that idiot has to say. He likes to act like a big shot but fact of the matter is, if he acted the way he does in real life, the way he does here, he would constantly be picking up his chicklets off the ground. Best course of action I would suggest to anyone here is to put that maroon on ignore. Unfortunately, you still have to deal with the replies from members that have fallen into his troll game.
