I hate to be annoying but I'm still unclear as to wether this is supposed to be allowed or not as I've had varying opinions as you all can see

they wouldnt do it in my building, and i dont think they are allowed to. However others might say differentI hate to be annoying but I'm still unclear as to wether this is supposed to be allowed or not as I've had varying opinions as you all can see![]()
Short answer..NO it isn't allowed. You are underage. In order to protect your ass in the future, refuse any further shuttling.I hate to be annoying but I'm still unclear as to wether this is supposed to be allowed or not as I've had varying opinions as you all can see![]()
Your insurance won't cover it because you were on the clock and working for UPS. Also, some companies will not cover vehicle use for "Delivery" unless you purchased the additional coverage. Do you want to be in the middle of a "UPS says "NO", my insurance says "NO", and I just did 50k worth of damage?"I have liability anyway
I was told I was SUPPOSED to after the fact by one of our air drivers and that I should have started progression on that exact day, but I never even got the chance to clock in as one. I was made to clock in as preload.
Does not apply to employees shuttling packages to drivers. You are not delivering them.
He was not an air driver---he was a preloader being used to shuttle air.
Never heard of that. Should absolutely not be allowed. I often shuttled after preload but only as an exception air driver.
They paid a union employee to shuttle late air to drivers.
If he did it every day, then you can make a stink about it.
It's a normal practice in our center with late air, especially during peak.
They're regularly using underpaid, underage union employees who are probably taking on a lot of personal liability. And they're being kept out of air progression.
There is nothing to "progress" if they aren't delivering.
If you have an accident while driving your vehicle for UPS, your insurance might deny your claim.

going against policy
For once, they use a union employee to do this, and the Teamster hoard is still not satisfied.
Theoretically, UPS is responsible for insurance when you drive your personal vehicle.
BEING 21 YEARS OLD. It's a requirement/policy whatever you want to call it.So you would rather management do it?
What policy?
Exactly.
Not theoretically, contractually.
