Pension is more beneficial to the company than a match

Why did the Company make the decision to eliminate further funding into their managements’
Pension Plans and replace them with a 401k match?

The associated costs of maintaining and insuring these defined pension plans are starting to hurt their profits and shareholders.

That's what I never understand. Raising minimum wage doesn't help poor people. Things will just cost more, and then it creates wage compression within the labor force. Basically, Raising minimum wage only hurts the middle class, it doesn't help anyone.

Did you not finish high school?

EVERYONE HAS BEEN WARNED
Awesome system we got isn't it? A CEO can make $25,000 per hour but if a frontline worker makes a living wage THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

Out here in Southern California, new employee rate starts at 18 dollars. Locally, Amazon has now started to offer 20 dollars an hour. Most other warehouses, distribution centers and logistics companies have been following suite like Target Distribution, Walmart, DHL and more. I've had conversation with members of mgmt and trainers who said that UPS is still struggling to fill roles at 18 dollars an hour. UPS is going to have trouble competing for workers come the holidays due to the hourly wage and the fact that these positions are part time. Do you all see another wage increase coming? How about the elimination of the part time role? If another wage increase does come, how do members with seniority feel that new workers are starting off in a better position without the Unions involvement?
Here in New Jersey Ups start new part time hires at 20 dollars an hour and they still can't fill position. We're working two jobs position. Burn out! Don't like that they're starting at a better rate, but we desperately need the help. 7 are hired 6 quit. There's nothing you can do. These young kids are not use to working hard ups giving them 6 trucks to load at the bottom of the belt.
