Labor woes stacking up for UPS

Does the new strike fund have the 1 week wait to get the check?

In my local, we have a supplemental strike fund, that we've been paying in since just after the last strike. Don't know what that pays in addition.

Strike benefits are based on 5x your hourly dues rate, the international strike fund in upwards of $180 million in assets

Teamsters Increase Strike Benefits

And if your local participates in the Ohio Strike Fund it currently has $12 million in assets

As @Wideload said, if there is a strike it probably won’t last long, but if it did, the strike fund will be wiped out in 2 weeks. $180+ million sounds like a lot, but when you divide it by 250-300 thousand UPS employees, it doesn’t go very far.

I thought someone said the strike fund would pay about 550 a week earlier.
According to the press release..... "The minimum out of work benefits will rise to $150 per week, an increase from $100. And, benefits will be paid at the end of the 8th day, previously paid at the end of the 11th day. "
