I dunno. Would Latino pastors have any reason to lie about the conditions the immigrants are being held under?

Meanwhile, AOC and Democratic politicians have every reason to think they see something going on and get really dramatic and offended over it. It’s how the hard left operates these days.

I just read a blog of an American woman married to a Honduran. They live poor but they get by on the equivalent of a little over $300 a month. She said yes there is crime and violence, but overall most people get by ok. She feels the ones who leave are mostly doing it for economic reasons. And most Hondurans don't leave.

She’s probably right. I watch Fareed Zakaria’s show on CNN every Sunday. He’s very much a liberal. But he acknowledges that most asylum claims are not genuine, and that it’s a huge problem for our immigration system.

The DHS inspector general did just release a report with pictures of the conditions. Spoiler, it’s not great.

...just toured the same facility Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a group of lawyers toured a few days ago. AOC claimed horrendous conditions, with women drinking out of toilets even. Which the Border Patrol vehemently denies. The pastors were concerned about what they were hearing so they visited. Not just any pastors, but the leadership of the largest Latino Christian organization. They found the facility to be spotless and well run. Had Border Patrol personnel asking them to get the truth out, that they cared about the detainees and were doing everything possible to look after them. So it does beg the question, is there an honest Democrat politician out there? She's not just a socialist, but a communist spreading disinformation.

What, specifically, is a lie? AOC is on camera claiming women were being forced to drink from toilets, no fresh water given. That's untrue. The Latino pastors did visit after hearing this, and found the facility clean and well run. What else? The blog I mentioned is easy enough to find. Where did I lie?

Did I say there was no crime in Honduras? She said in her blog that local businesses get shaken down by gangs and if they refuse to pay they do get killed. But the way the Left paints Honduras you'd think it was Beirut in the 80's. Honduras has factories, schools, airports, stores, supermarkets, you name it. But not at the level we do and lack of available jobs with too many to fill them keeps wages very low. So those wanting a better life join these caravans. I don't blame them but I do blame Democrat operatives who mischaracterize these countries because that's necessary to get them in through asylum loopholes. Most Hondurans stay in Honduras. If anything those leaving help alleviate pressure for others looking for work. Is Honduras paradise? No, but it's not hell either. Heck, Brad and Angelina took their kids to the Copan Ruinas World Heritage Site there.

Wow I want one of those for my bathroom.

I’ve been to jail one time, I pooped in a drunk tank full of like 10 dudes. Then I passed out on concrete, slept like a baby.
