Covid-19 has me thinking. Is this the new norm? Every time there’s a new illness that targets the weakest of us we shut down the world? As the population continues to age there will just be more and more of this.

I think the world is finally going to put its foot down on China’s lab and animal market safety.

Every country has been tiptoeing around every issue with them because of the clout they bring to international trade and manufacturing. We’ve since learned that their animal viruses can harm us and our economies a lot more than making their communist leaders angry could. So we’ll act.

China is probably the worst hit in the world in raw numbers but the individual there, as in all Socialist and Communist countries, is irrelevant.

Wonder how well we'd do if our Country were also a peninsula with a land area the size of the state of New York.

I agree.
The USA is a huge country and with 50 varieties of Governmental abilities and approaches.

Long life sounds great but living in a nursing home? Better to go before then.
I've been lucky (if you want to call it that) in the fact that my Mom, Dad and Father- in-law all went quick. We are now dealing with the nursing home thing with the Mother-in-law and it isn't pleasant.
