I might taken a little screwing on my Mauser but it was something I always wanted and I don't plan on getting rid of it so it was worth it. I paid $800 for the Mauser

Nothing fancy but fun to shoot. None of the .30 Carbines are worth much since they made millions of them.

I'm stuck between a garand or a carbine. Tough choice. Need to work some OT and save some pennies.

I had a custom modified .243 Mauser w/Leupold Vari X scope, shot 80grain hollow points. It was deadly. Longest kill shot was a muley @ 350 yrds. Great gun for deer, antelope, and prairie dogs .

Certainly NOT with ponies at least. Someone else since bought that gun and stripped it fortunately.

I also had a Winchester Model 70 30-06 Pre 64 sold it for a song. Worth a lot more today.
