One nice thing about the CZ is the way it fits in your hand it points naturally without even looking at the sights. For precision good sights are necessary but you will still be in the ballpark without them.

Love those CZ’s. Would like to get me a nice CZ shotgun too.

I broke it down it was all gunked up with cosmoline in every nook and cranny

I didn't think those were ever packed in cosmoline. Did it come on a boat from Brazil?

Or maybe the former owner did it when he was planning on burying it in his yard to be ready for the zombie apocalypse?

Yes they did come from Brazil

Some kind of thick petroleum based oily grease

I got a Chinese SKS packed in that stuff. Not exactly cosmoline but pretty much the same. The whole barrel was plugged up with it. Hot soapy water time.

The one I have even the stock was coated in it

I tried soaking it spraying it even took it to the car wash and sprayed it

Still has kind of a nasty grey color to it

Finally had time to put the TFO sights on. Pretty awesome in any light level.
I did kind of dent the side of the sight putting it on. Being the cheap sob I am, I didn't want to pay for a gunsmith (with a sight press) to put them on. Next time, I would...

I also bought a set of Talon gun grips. They're very thin, rubber, kind of like a thick sticker. They stick on, then you use a hair dryer to secure them to your grip.
Less than $20, wanted to try them.
Hope to put them on today.

I picked this up this afternoon, a Glock 19 Gen5. I used a Glock Shooting Sports Foundation coupon before it expired next week. List for about $560, I paid $425. LE/military is $399.

Too bad I had everything I really.need already or it could have been mine. AR10 would be my choice of that type. It's what Eugene Stoner wanted it to be in the first place.

I often feel like I was the only one who actually liked the finger grooves. Wish they kept them as an option on the Gen5.

Finger grooves are good .. if they happen to fit your hand. If your hand is too large or small they are definitely worse.
