Tesla is an investment, he pays dividends in the end. Public transportation is a black ing hole of a money pit.

You can't compare US and places like Europe when discussing public transportation. Things are a lot more spread out here so only makes sense in cities and other densely populated areas. And I agree it usually ends up being a money pit with services to many areas cut to try to save money.

Have to disagree with you. Cars are a sure fire way to keep you economically stifled. I love cars, enjoy the independence. But for the working poor they are an albatross. And a necessary evil because we don't have an extensive public transportation system. And not just public. In Mexico for example they have very comfortable modern busses taking people between cities with terminals that look like airports. I rode halfway across Mexico on busses back in 2017. Even had decent wifi most of the trip. Was a pleasant experience until I got on a Greyhound bus in Laredo, TX.

I know you do which is why I pointed out it's people investing in the stock, not the government. And your point about roads? Roads were built long before there were even cars. And there were cars long before there was Tesla. Climate change believers want electric cars. Guy gets rich giving them electric cars and they resent his wealth. You can't have it both ways but you sure try.

i dont think global warming believers necessarily want electric cars. the solution is likely less cars, more efficient transit whatever that is.
