Putting in a plug takes less time and effort than a weekly gas stop. It's more convenient and I never have to track range or capacity. You do.
Total BS. You are constantly aware of range(capacity). You have to. There are so few options and not to mention time to "refuel" your vehicle. I don't think much at all about going anywhere.....sea to shining sea......knowing that I have 1000's of possibilities to refuel.

I never have to be aware at all.

I drive 20 to 70 miles a day, and I have 300+ miles of range. It never even occurs to me to look at the range. If I remember to use a plug, I never even consider it.

Hybrids aren't sexy enough. Just practical and economic.

Limitations on utility?

It outperforms your gas at everything, including convenience and ease and lack of maintenance.

Crossing the country is the only time you even have a case.
Convenience? OMG

Maintenance? Your vehicle is not maintenance free. Where do you get this BS?

Say, what would you do if the power goes out at your place for say 4 days like here? Me, I keep a couple gallons of lawnmower fuel around....good to go.

A comparable performance gas car is cheaper than a prius for total cost of ownership, even including gas. The savings never catch up. If you're okay with the crappy performance of a Prius, you can save boatloads by getting a gas car.

I haven't been to a mechanic in 2 years.

No oil change. No nothing.

No. Make the people who want it....pay for it....leave the rest of us out of it.
private cars should be taxed much higher because the market doesnt charge the true cost, it externalizes it.

i dont want a system where you tax things based on usage. this makes healthcare for high risk extreme sports types expensive.

Why in the world would anyone want an EV unless they were an environmental fanatic?

The price and severe limitations and utility is why they are such a miserable failure(this is settled fact).

Confirming your enthusiasm for EV's is based on an investment return....gosh just loses all credibility.

BTW, I see 100's of cars everyday.....maybe 1 in 1000 is a Tesla. The plain if not ugly design.....drawing my attention.
why wouldnt you be an environmental fanatic at this point?

i still dont want an EV and i dont want gas either. i want something that wont lead to system collapse next 20 years.

Well, IDK....
Plenty of regular "looking" or exact models that are hybrid....crossovers and such SUV's....look normal to me. BTW, my daughter avoiding the new Prius for being uglyAF.

My daughter got her PRIUS for pure economics....
Your daughter could've gotten better performance for a lot less money. She will never make up the extra purchase and maintenance expenses with gas savings.

I don't want to pay for welfare babies either....for example....pay to play.

you want to die mountain climbing....go for it...leave me out of it.

I'm not liberal.

What is this system collapse?

Our "system" is collapsing because of liberal Democrats....communist/socialists....pretty obvious.
