Strength through joy

The defect prompts an official recall of over 1,096,762 cars - but thanks to Tesla's technology, that only means that a run-of-the-mill software update will be sent to the affected vehicles.

Tesla will perform an 'over-the-air' update of the automatic window reversal system. OTAs, as they are known by Tesla owners, are improvements sent to the vehicle wirelessly - like software updates on your phone.

The recall covers the 2017-2022 Model 3, 2020-2021 Model Y, and 2021-2022 Model S and Model X series, and those with affected cars will be notified by Tesla by November 13.

It didn't get better. They had to legally fix something they overlooked. Wonder how many more corners were cut. That they haven't found out just yet.
An over the air update reduced highway braking distance on some models by 19 feet.
Improving 0-60 times.
Additional range.
Innumerable comfort additions/changes.
All without going into the shop.

When you poor people buy a car, your car stays the same or gets worse over time.
Mine gets new functions and small performance upgrades through the intarw3bs.

For what you paid for it the car ought to come when you whistle.

Then use the "summon" feature, and your driverless Tesla will come to you.

You guys learned about over-the-air updates, the summon feature, and the whistle all on one page!

Good for you.
Can we go one page further and imagine Tesla being hacked by some internet hacker and shutting everything down?

Seems to be happening more and more and some hackers demand a thing called "ransom".

Yeah.....makes me want to buy a Tesla.......

Every other manufacturer is in exactly the same boat. Except they have much smaller and less capable teams dedicated to their software.

Everyone has this potential vulnerability. It's just that Teslas are more capable.
