Both parties have too many Nancy Pelosi's (age 78) hanging around. No matter which political ideology they embrace, their century has passed. Their time has come and gone. And as is the case with pseudo conservatives like yourself their credibility has also simply dissipated over time.
In addition as evidenced by the new Congress the days of the nation placing it's complete trust in the hands of wealthy, old, conservative white men are ending. We will all have to get used to that reality and give them the opportunity to reshape the nation in preparation for new century likely to be overflowing with the one thing pseudo conservatives hate most.......change.

my conservatism has nothing to do with the age of congress

your pet peeve about age is overwhelmingly against your side of the aisle.

"The average age of the Democratic House leadership is 72 years old, whereas the average age of Republican House leadership is 48 years old. This trend continues in House committee leadership with Republican chairmen averaging 59 years old and ranking Democrats averaging 68 years old."

The 115th Congress is among the oldest in history

Let's see what those numbers look like when the new Congress takes over in January one fourth of which will be comprised of women.

We had 8 years of little hope and no change. This president has changed a lot. So yeah, we hate the kind of change you're selling...glacial.

nowhere special
Use “a” before words that start with a consonant sound and “an” before words that start with a vowel sound. Other letters can also be pronounced either way. Just remember it is the sound that governs whether you use “a” or “an,” not the actual first letter of the word.
British spelling usually assumes the h is silent.

But we aren't British.

It was a horrific 8 years. The country lay in ruins. Almost post apocalyptic. Get real.
This is an example of a straw man argument. In the straw man fallacy, someone attacks a position the opponent doesn’t really hold.
An obvious attempt to discredit the other person's point by offering a Red Herring interpretation of the others statement.
Obviously, @vantexan did not state that "It was a horrific 8 years. The country lay in ruins. Almost post apocalyptic."
Shame on your deceptive behavior.
