Really Confused about Contract

Hi all, My husband has been a FT Driver with UPS for for 7 years. We are in WI - local 344. He's a steward and so he talks a lot about the union contract (which he voted no on). I have been trying to understand the contract situation as he explains it and can not. Following the Oct. vote and ratification, he told me that we should be receiving a check for his raise back to August 1st. That hasn't happened? I'm sitting down to plan for Christmas and he doesn't know what's going on with it and everything he says is a big jumble to my ears... Could someone please put it into to simple terms for me. Will there be back pay for a raise? When will that happen? Is it really a thing?

Look how long the other locals took last contract. We didn’t get a check for 6 to 7 months and that contract didn’t get the members blood boiling as much as this one has. Don’t look for a check any time soon.

Have had people ask me every week since September, where is they’re raise. Why isn’t raise in check. Average ups’er is clueless

No, she was told answers to her questions by her husband and is banking on a retro check for Christmas. She apparently can’t take her husband’s word that he doesn’t know when or how much will come and gets on here to second guess his competence. Although I do agree that some of his videos have had inaccuracies, but did you know everything you know now about unionism and ups language and such at the age of 25... ???
