First, you don't know me.

UPS was Teamster before I ever got there.

I'm not a Trumper.

BTW, you ain't no Republican or a conservative.

It's LAUGHABLE you tried to fake your way in with that.

MY God you talk so far out of both sides of your liberal mouth it's nauseating.

Anti-Trump....repeat......repeat..... hey man......he's gone.

We voted for Trump because Hillary....well we all know Hillary....even you commies couldn't take it.

People like Cruz/Rubio didn't get the nomination because he was for legalization/immigrants.

Please stop with being Republican. It makes you look stupid.
There is no doubt he voted for Obama and Hillary, then Biden.

Please maintain the floor and tell everyone interested in listening exactly why Trump would want prices to raise during that period.

I don't know is not an acceptable answer.
I never said I had insight into his motivations. Sure, I could guess what they were and would probably be right. I said that Trump sought to raise oil prices by forging an agreement that would cut foreign production. This is a matter of public record. Keep denying the obvious, friend.

What the hell do I have to do to get you to admit that you are wrong? Is it going to take Newsmax? Mynewswire? RT? Breitbart? OAN? Your favorite Discord server?

My point is that it is disingenuous to support Trump for trying to raise oil prices and then cry like a little girl when oil prices actually go up, blame Biden and then cite it as an example of how bad things are under anybody but Trump - which is exactly what has happened.

Trumpers Blame Current Administration After Rare Trump Foreign Policy Success

Damn, what's next? Are you going to claim a hyuge foreign policy success in giving Kim Jong Un pretty much everything he wanted in exchange for a mash note to Trump?

I'll say this about Rush, he was funny. One of the things he did that was kind of cute was to praise himself endlessly. It is kind of endearing in an entertainer - kind of like Ali's "I am the greatest" schtick.

I tuned into Hannity to see Trump speak about Rush after he died. He talked about Rush for about thirty seconds before turning back to his favorite subject - himself. From that point on it was nothing but self-praise. While this might be cute for an entertainer, it is nauseating from a public servant - especially one as feckless as Trump.
Almost as tireless as listening to a person relate something they "abhor" and bend themselves into a pretzel trying to tie it to Trump.

Lol.

Trump isn't gone - he just moved the grift to a new state. Donate till it hurts.

Agree with the last point though. Identifying as a Republican these days does make one look stupid. I'm trying to change that.

I couldn't care less what you think of my background or political leanings. You can't defend Trump and use facts at the same time. The issue isn't whether I am liberal, conservative, Republican, Democrat, Christian or Zoroastrian. I'm an American and I have every right to voice my opinion whether you like it or not.

I'm trying to get you to think. Exactly why might any US President seek to raise the price of crude.

It is not a political question.

The answer is quite simple. America exports a lot of oil. We have many oil jobs. When oil prices are suppressed to the point that they have been, we lose jobs. Those roughnecks won't get out and vote for Trump if they think he has done nothing to help them.

I can't even believe I have to explain this. Why would we want soybean or wheat prices to rise? Same reason.

But again, you are moving the goalposts. I never argued for raising oil prices. I simply asserted that Trump sought to do that (and have proven this adequately), none of you complained. And then, when oil prices went up, you all blamed the current administration and posted your receipts for gas labelled "Trump" and "Biden".

I can reccommend some basic economic books if you like, or perhaps a short book on formal logic.

Were you alive when the the cost of crude was artificially lowered with the flooding of the market which forced the capping of oil wells throughout Texas and Oklahoma?

I didn't think so.

Is that your way of conceding the point? Sure sounds like it to me.

Its alright. We already know.

And just exactly what KIND of America do you espouse? But in the end you along with millions of other pseudo conservatives will gladly signup for every Roosevelt New Deal and Johnson Great Society social program you think you can game the system well enough to qualify for . Why? Simply because it's the best and in many similar case it's the only economic option you have left.
What better way to render the programs unsustainable in order to jettison them?

If you call that a concession I suggest you look up the meaning of the word artificial.
Oh gee. Oil prices are artificial. Who would have imagined that given that the market is dominated by OPEC, the most successful cartel since DeBeers. What's next, are you going to tell me that the supply of diamonds is artificially suppressed?

Yeah, you lost the point and now you are just obfuscating.

Get a library card. It's good advice.

Oh please. Not developing alternative fuel sources increases our reliance on oil. You can only trash the wilderness once. As an avid outdoorsman, this is a poor bargain.

You still aren't addressing that you said Trump never sought to raise oil prices. You are objectively wrong about this.

Is it that hard?
I live in the coal region. Strip mine coal region . Billions in raw material wealth hauled out and nothing put back leaving tens of thousands of acres of back filled strip mines, the table destroyed and ground so badly disturbed that it has been by and large rendered useless.

Yet today there are 3 electric power plant permits to be built in my area being reviewed.... The fuel source?... Solar. How come? We've gone from 540 coal powered plants to the low 200's Why? Too old, too dirty too labor intensive and above all else too expensive to operate to compete in the deregulated utility markets.

It sure would have been nice if some of the money from coal was used to retrain the workers to learn some other skills to bring in other industries. But that would have been communiss. What the hell, they still have bootstraps, eh?

Of corse, some might say that that investment would have benefitted the country overall. But that's just crazy talk.

One of the first thing that economists realized was that that international trade benefits a nation overall but there were definite winners and losers. For example, if Portugal and England start to trade wine and cloth, English winemakers and Portuguese cloth makers lose their industry. The optimal thing to do was to tax (oh, horrors!) the industry with the comparative advantage and use the revenue to retrain, re-equip the one that didn't. Or, you could just say "screw them" and end up with a country with a massive income inequality. Sound familiar?

There's a much better way. You and the rest of pseudo conservatives ban together and send your checks back along with your Social Security check and your Medicare card. There's no better message as to the strength and sincerity of your conservative convictions than demonstrating it through actions not just words .

Your getting there, pretty soon you are going to walk right into exactly why Trump wanted the price to rise.

Keep talking you'll convince yourself.

I'll help you in your journey.

Are there costs of production?

What happens after an extended period of time that receipts cannot meet the cost of production?

You're lying. Reclamation projects go on all the time.
