And when these 13/hr new hires continue to make this "attendance bonus" that no one else has access to? Out-earning many tenured part-timers as-is. This isn't talked about but it is wrong.
Gahdamn imagine if UPS was normally paying $30 an hour to work in the hub? We would have thousands applying for a handful of jobs, could get way more work and effort out of their employees if they did this.

To what end? Should the part-timers who have been here forever and are making over $30 also get a $3 raise or just people at your wage level? Because no matter where you cut it off someone is going to be mad.If they increase the starting wage to 15.50 and you've accumulated 6 dollars in GWI you should make 21.50. Doesn't that make sense?
However you can use your seniority to sign for the higher paying job. You are not a victim if you don’t help yourself.
