Why are showings sold out, but nobody is in the theaters?
Only there's no way to know if she really was at a "Sound of Freedom" showing. I went to a theater and it was sold out. Went to another theater the next day and got in but theater was mostly full. What she's saying is that someone is spending tens of millions of dollars just to push QAnon conspiracy theories. Which in itself is a conspiracy theory. But the movie wasn't about QAnon. It is about a very serious problem, human sex trafficking, especially of children. Do you believe that's not a real thing?

Human trafficking is a huge problem and should be addressed head on.
The problem is that people who are actually involved with trying to stop it say the movie portrays it all wrong. Saying "Sound of Freedom" portrays human trafficking is like saying "Leathal Weapon" or "Beverly Hills Cop" shows police work or "Point Break" gets the FBI right.

How so? Hadn't heard that one. For example there was an operation in Colombia that the Colombian government and the former Homeland Security agent participated in that lured human traffickers to an island with a bunch of kids thinking they were participating in a new resort catering to rich paedophiles. A former Colombian beauty queen was one of the traffickers arrested. True story, a lot of video documentation. And the point of the movie is to draw attention to the problem.
What has set the Left off is that the Right is embracing this movie at the very time there's a lot of controversy over inappropriate material in school libraries as well as efforts to normalize and mainstream transgenders. Anything that might hinder the Left's agenda is going to be opposed. Much in the same way Musk is attacked over free speech rights. The Left wants to control the narrative and attacks anything that threatens their narrative.
Just because there are idiots who get off spreading ridiculous rumors doesn't mean that movies like "Sound of Freedom" are totally offbase.

Or all the claims that "Sound of Freedom" is getting sabotaged by broken air conditioning even though the lobby and 17 other screens are also warm and stuffy.

And one person making silly claims is the equivalent of the movie pushing QAnon conspiracies?
What did the MAGA's expect to find when they went to see Sound Of Freedom?....Birth Of A Nation? All they had to do was to read the reviews and watch the trailer and they would have discovered that it's a movie claimed to be "based on a true story" yea right, about child sex trafficking.
The hope that the producers claim is that second to selling tickets it would focus more public attention on the international child trafficking trade with the key word being....international.
Ticket sales and face it that is what matters most given the current writers and actors strike are much better than expected, however when Oppenheimer comes out Friday SOF will likely have a shorter life in the theaters. Even the most bitter movie critics have been silenced after having been shown this movie ahead of it's public release.
It's actually based on the true story of a Homeland Security agent who gave up his job to try and rescue kids caught up in it rather than just go after paedophiles here in the States. Some of it is fictional. But what is hilarious is when conservatives started flocking to it liberals started attacking it. Can't help yourselves.
And just exactly when did conservatives become focused on the long standing issue of international child sex trafficking? If so they certainly didn't need to go watch a scripted movie about the matter to get the facts. They've been in the forefront for a very long time and covered extensively by all the major networks.

If they want to address a domestic trafficking problem the sequel should go to Las Vegas.
I'm sure the next cry will be that SOF is getting pushed out of theaters when stuff like Transformers and The Flash are already on streaming. Movies barely last a month in the theaters during the summer.

When did everything become liberal or conservative only? Seems like this is something all human beings would be concerned about, and I still haven’t seen the movie by the way, probably won’t because it makes me uncomfortable to even think about that crap.

Correct, dismissing the movie is somehow right wing propaganda, makes no sense to me. It’s a real problem all over the world.
