Teamster Buyout?

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
Side note, the driver I was covering for was close to retirement. Never heard a word about it from him either, and I kept my mouth shut. He wanted to be a bitch, I didn’t.

Hmmm, why do you think they company wants to get rid of drivers? Doesn't a trucking company need drivers??

There's only one reason I can see. It's because they want to go to a independent contractor model.

This is bad.

This is the future of the company ...
My future will be retirement soon just like yourself.

If I didn't nab a Porter job I'd of left already. But now I'm just screwing around and grabbing a little extra candy before I check out and call it quits. Make some legitimate income to cover bases. I finally received my federal income tax return last year in November after receiving 3 letters in the mail every 2-3 months saying they were "still looking into things and needed more time" and if they need anything from me they'd reach out. ;)

Except when they were really shorthanded and I was needed I only worked 1-2 days a week for probably the last 15 years.

I'm really not a person who plans and if I wake up tomorrow and am granted another day that's great, and I take it from there.
I can call it quits this coming Monday, 2 months from now ..... or 2 years (doubtful though).

Anyways , if they include Porter's in the buyout I'm all ears.
