401k has made millions of regular working class folks millionaires. Highly recommend maxing it out and not touching it. Lower tax bracket when I retire will never happen. Retirees in the Local 639 be ballin‘ like 110k a year.

Jakamoe

I work for teamsters, UPS contracted me
It’s for idiots. Just like how idiots shouldn’t use credit cards. Meanwhile people who know what they are doing are earning thousands in rewards and countless perks every year.

if you have any sort of self control, with 0 company match there are MUCH BETTER options the the ups/teamsters/prudential 401k
Don't forget the biggest perk to credit cards. It doesn't allow direct access to your cash. You can dispute charges much easier than a bank

But you can MAX OUT your tax-advantaged 401(k) at work. That's $19,500. Plus $6,000 in your own IRA.

Really it only matters if you intended to save more than what the IRA will allow. You're screwing yourself if you intended to save a lot more.

Good luck, you sound like you think you know what you're doing.

@Faceplanted

there are more losers than winners in trading options.
Please take any advice here with a grain of salt.
Nio, unless you got in at the ground floor like so many other stocks, is paying modest gains. One would need to invest $100,000 now to barely make double over time. But if you got in early, it’s easy 500% gains.

what other stocks are you hocking trying to get gains off the backs of others?

there is absolutely nothing wrong with a set it and forget it model. The prudential fees are so minimal. Robinhood is more like gambling for so many folks. With casinos and sports betting closed for many months, many took to stocks, and seasoned pros couldn’t figure outwhy some terrible stocks saw gains and others dropped. The time tested logic was out the window. RH is just as voltagile as the others. Do your due diligence and don’t advise others lol.

401ks also lower your tax liability. Many set it and forget it with money they can afford to lose. @Faceplanted were you trying to move your investments daily or weekly with a 401k? Do you know what a 401k is for? Long term man. A lot of your advice is short term.

Robinhood is all that’s talked about at work lately. Lots of day traders trying to make a quick buck. There have been more losers than true winners. The dude wanting everyone into GNUS is ready to sell the second he gets enough folks to buy. Stocks are real life. It’s not a gamble that many can afford. I myself got suckered into a few hundred in RH. BUt my ups stock payroll deduction and 401k deductions are doing fine. They’ll be with me long term as a nice nest egg. RH was a short term gamble that didn’t pay off. Every stock I choose, I bought at its peak. And then sold too early. There’s a crazy amount of manipulation. You following Stocktwits? Lol.

you guys are such conservative poors. I’m gambling with options. I win I loose, this is nothing more to me than gambling at the sportsbook. This is fun money that I have no problem loosing, just like throwing a couple hundred down on an nfl game.

as for my other investments. Look up ticker LINK. Iv been talking about it on here for YEARS. Everybody was saying I was stupid for investing in crypto blah blah blah, I’m up 7x. Over this past year I made roughly 2 years of ups driver income

I got rekt with the first crypto I went all in on, started buying link over the past couple years and dumped a large amount of proceeds from the sale of a rental property on link.

And no it’s not just luck, it’s hundreds of hours researching projects.

don’t assume everybody is a retarded just because most people are.

I’m good bro. Don’t worry about my finances. I took the money out, spent half on Precious metals and holding the rest liquid for either a real estate purchase or to get a business going.

Not everybody wants to ball out when they are 57, and possibly dead. I don’t have children. My wife makes good money as do I. We have lots of valuable assets, a large crypto account, and half a year of liquid monies. I’m not worried about loosing everything right now. I’m still young.

It’s amazing so see how the average person low key seeths when somebody doesn’t want to take the normal conservative path to life.

“I hope it works out for you”
“I wouldn’t do that”

good for you, I don’t care if I loose it all.

Ups is just a job, if your smart, money comes and goes. Being financial conservative results in mediocrity. Mediocrity is not for me, that’s cool if it’s for you.

As I stated a long time ago, I went all in amb. Got rekt to the tune for like 8k. I have been accumulating link after realizing amb was going no where for the past 2 years. I have no problem admitting I made a bad call with amb which I posted I was all in on. I accumulated link and have made over 200k this year. I don’t care if you think I’m lying. Here are some old buys I made. Hate all you want fam. I live rent free in your head.

I bet you share an account with you boo and get an allowance too. Not everybody lives check to check. Not everybody is content with 10% yearly gains to enjoy your retirement from the recliner

Here is a good sized buy I made after cashing out some nfl winnings. I know it’s a tough pill to swallow for you that I have made in 1 year probably more than you even have in your 401k

enjoy your day mang, I’m about to drop a couple hundred and go get a couples massage with my boo and get a happy ending from 2 ladies. I could put that in a 401k but I’m not about that life.
