It worked real well when I did it as a driver back in the '70s.Rural remote worked quite well, that is, until management turned it in to a dispatch tool.
The Re-scheduled Delivery Date will be what is displayed to customer as expected Projected Delivery Date if shipper designated. What about delivery time guarantees?
FedEx already whoops our ass I thought we were trying to get quicker not slower.
I'll forward this to UPS Management communications letter. If there is a way to abuse the system they will find a way. Hide missed and LIB using this system are just two ways I see it being abused
The crap they pull to hide stuff is absolutely ridiculous.I'll forward this to UPS Management communications letter.
Sounds good ... I think Logistics sources and UPS projected up to 10% savings for shipper. Can we assume a 5% incentive to be the norm?
Alright, I get with them and make sure they "TELL" you to do it.The crap they pull to hide stuff is absolutely ridiculous.
I don't give a Fluff what they do, just don't ask me to do it.
Not a chance Pal. I've seen too many supervisors walked out.Alright, I get with them and make sure they "TELL" you to do it.
You do that. Because it wouldn't suprise me if they weren't abusing it alreadyI'll forward this to UPS Management communications letter.
But shockingly management abused it. Seems like management is the common denominator in messing things upIt worked real well when I did it as a driver back in the '70s.

Probably just show up on your car all synchronized. Not a chance Pal. I've seen too many supervisors walked out.
I worked at UPS (or anywhere) for one reason only and that was to make money.I curious----what did you friend up that you had to go into management?![]()
Somebody has to and you and I both know you can't depend on drivers. But shockingly management abused it. Seems like management is the common denominator in messing things up

Back in the 70's, there was a lot more money in management than in driving, and I was working around 54 hours per week as a driver. Had to take a pay cut to go into management but within 2 years I was making more than I did as a driver plus getting stock bonuses.
It worked out well for me.
Oh definitely!Stock bonuses made you the winner. I remember all the contracts we tried to get the company to let us BUY stock.
To be devious ,underhanded, and incompetent like management.Somebody has to and you and I both know you can't depend on drivers.
Hardly "Incompetent" ... I've seen many driver's "reasoned thinking" on here.To be devious ,underhanded, and incompetent like management.
