Western Pennsylvania April 6th VOTE

One thing to consider is that with voting in person those who don't bother to take action in their own future by refusing to vote might stand out. It would certainly be known who came to vote and who did not.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Figured I'd start a thread on it.
Since electronic ballots we're sliced out this time, will anyone who is affected by this supplement post the deets on here?

Really wanna know what a 3rd swing supplement looks like, and if it's going down as a yes or no this time
Do you even know what you’re voting on? Or did the IBT just say hey we will have them vote on the same crap but make it really hard for them to vote so we can justify forcing it through?

What are you babbling about ?

I've had the same screen name since 2006.

It wasn't my decision to make and I don't speak for the IBT.

But, I guess this where "the rubber meets the road". We'll see how serious the

members are about their supplement and if they show up to vote.

Nervous ?

What's going to be your excuse.... if people don't show up to vote ?

-Bug-

How do you vote your other contracts in your Local? In mine, the other companies come down to the union hall and hear a presentation and vote on what they hear for almost every other company except UPS. They count the votes there and announce the results. Why do UPS people consider themselves better than the rest of the union members?

The only reason you care is because you make poor financial decisions and are DYING for your pittance of a backpay check.

What will be the excuse of the members.... for not voting ?
What is the reasoning behind the IBT explicitly forbidding locals from setting up a voting location at a UPS hub?

Exactly the same thing here.

Even UPS Freight, had their second vote at the Hall.

Funny thing.... more of them participated in person, than in the electronic vote.

That could be a thread all by it's self.

What Local asked to do that.... and it was denied by whom ?

My Local holds all Steward elections inside the UPS facility.

Not for a vote on a National contract.

That’s not what I asked you

Why would the IBT go out of its way to make it harder on its members?

Sounds like some "old school" Teamster love.

Put up.... or shut up.

Wanna vote it down again ?

Here's your chance to do.... in person.

No one had to ask to do that, and if they did they would be denied anyways. Read rule number 2, it was denied explicitly by Kevin M. Schmitt (chairman of the NNC, Western PA), but you know who controls his strings. It wasn't directly stated by Hawfa or Traitor, but it came down from them, and you're full of :censored2: if you claim otherwise. You know what's going on here.

So what's the problem ?

You get a personal explanation from the IBT General Secretary-Treasurer,

prior to voting.... was there something else you needed ?
So you think it's okay to arbitrarily make it more difficult for the membership to vote...fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.

BigBrown87

If it’s brown, it’s going down
The members are being provided an opportunity to have their voices heard.

If they choose not to exercise their right.... it's on them. Period.

Why not keep the voting online if the ibt leaders want the members heard?

It sounds like you just made a concession speech ?
I'm not part of western Pennsylvania supplement and have already conceded, nothing will change for me regardless of the vote results.

Why not keep it online if the IBT cares so much about our voices being heard?

I have always said if they really want to stop low voter turnout on the contract then why don't they set up a place to vote in the UPS facility? It's no different then this contract when supervisors and managers were at the door having them cast their ballot online.
