Whats the worst stop in your building?

When I was a driver, there was a stop that was in between an alley and off a side street right next to the capital building here in Sacramento California. No matter what time of day it was, you couldn't find parking in that alley . And you for sure couldn't park in the side street. I remember driving around sometimes for 15 minutes stressing out and waiting for one of the other box trucks or Fed ex trucks to leave. Thank God I don't work for UPS anymore. It's amazing that I thought that job was the best thing around when I was younger.

At what point do you regret not paying more attention in school?

I have a college degree and worked for other fortune 500 companies for 15 years prior to UPS. UPS pays just as good, if not better, and has better benefits and a pension. All of that comes at a price of a filthy work environment and poor treatment of its employees, but the grocery bill and mortgage are paid and I have the best job security and solid retirement. I leave the UPS BS at the gate each day.

Kill them with kindness...

The worst stop here is actually a couple stops on one street. It’s a single lane, two way street with cars parked on both sides and it’s always busy (mostly people cutting traffic from the Main Street it’s attached to). There is never anywhere to park and every day at least six houses on this block get crap from Amazon. I have to park on a side street and walk it off.

A lot of the people there like to order heavy crap, so I’m forced to block this street to deliver an irreg. Before I can even whip out my handtruck I’ve got people pulling up giving me the stink eye. I get honked at and confronted on the regular, “YOU CANT DO THAT YOU GOTTA MOVE!”

I typically ignore them but sometimes I’ll just tell them to call the cops. It shuts them up.

We have some areas of Newark, NJ that we don't deliver to.

Years ago hi-rise projects in kcmo
Stick up kids would get on top of the elevator and wait for it to start going up

Then climb through the hatch and rob driver

It’s since been imploded

I hate delivering to all beauty supply stores. They always get alot of heavy crap and always require a COD.

Same here. The ghetto beauty shops here never have back doors to deliver too also. They're always in the hood and in a hood ass parking lot with no parking. Everything through the front door. For some reason they're always so full and packed the doorway is always blocked with crap. Then they proceed to stare at the COD with a stink eye like I should feel bad for asking and waiting for the 72 yr old Chinese lady to write my damn COD

Wall mart. It’s always wal mart

Walmart is definitely the worst. The one where I deliver to has 3 bay doors and they only use one for all shipments coming in. After multiple occasions of them telling me that there is no one available to take the shipment and that I'll have to come back later, I finally got fed up one day and sheeted 50 packages as refused, didn't want. After that incident they seem to always have someone to take my deliveries now. Sometimes I have to wait in line because they only use one bay door, but at least they take the delivery. Multi billion dollar company....ONE bay door for deliveries.....SMH...

The UPS trucks down in Pimlico in Baltimore need armed police escorts.
Quad Avenue has razor wire on top of the fence and an armed off duty cop parked across the street. A few years back people walking home were getting robbed right down the street on payday.

Nope I’m not waiting. Back up to the wall through door and cart it in.

Walgreens!!! One key for the padlock and that person is with a customer. Conversation through the overhead door.

I hear complaints from the drivers who have Walgreens here. Walmart on the other hand is the easiest stop. They bring a cart out and I just scan and slide boxes to the back and then they unload it all. Half the truck (P500) gone.
