I love 'Current Events" . Its so easy to stir up some excitement in there.
The beginning of the decline of mans power.
I told you to think before you responded. Jesus no wonder your wife always wins the arguments!
Air conditioning? What's next, heat? Weak.
Just because we know who wears the pants in your family and you are afraid to argue with her don't take your flustrations out of real men.
That's what I've always said. We have hardly any heat up here in the trucks in the winter so why should the hot places have air?
You're right I don't argue. I just give her a stern look and the conversation is over.
Sorry you don't have it like that in your house.
Why do I get the feeling I would get a different side of the story if I talked to your wife?
Because you're so used to taking a beating from yours you can't comprehend it.
She's 100% German--you fight her if you are so brave.
When was the last time you were in a package car? New heaters are pretty good
Mines Irish. If she's not drunk she's on her back.
Imagine the heat back when they delivered on horse and buggy’s
I'd have to drive one on a good old Mn. 20-30 below zero day to believe you. 18 years ago but I still know everything there is to know about UPS
The heat blows pretty good but at those temps I’m not sure the doors seal good enough to make much difference
75% Italian here.
Yeah say a prayer for me
Around town they weren't to bad (as long as you covered 3/4ths of the radiator with cardboard and left the truck run all day). Out on the highway though-- fogidda about it.
Cool the cargo area like a refrigerated truck. Have a separate generator running the a.c. unit throughout the day. That's where the heat issues are mostly anyway. Imagine, people could actually get their hello fresh packages before they turn goodbye rotten. The main reason they won't do that isn't the cost of equipment or fuel, It's that we might spend a couple extra seconds "looking for improperly loaded packages"
AC? My first 3 Summers in Delivery we had to wear long pants,no shorts.Wimps...
