I know that as of August the top rate is $40/hour. What are UPS Teamsters unhappy enough about that you might go on strike next year? I’m not dismissing the reasons, I’m just curious.
That's all things any local can negotiate.Better working conditions, no forced 6th punches, 9.5 hours and out.
Then why don’t they? That's all things any local can negotiate.
Is there any local that has concrete language on 6th punches? Then why don’t they?
True but we work for a company that has insane capital that can take care of its employees. The place I recently left is going for about 400 more a month in rent. Everything feels tighter that’s a fact. Most people make nowhere near that mang.
So supplemental Riders have no forced 6th or 7th day punches but only a handful like 177, 804 and a couple others. Is there any local that has concrete language on 6th punches?
A large majority of UPS Teamsters are earning less than $20/hr even after 15 years. Not everyone is making 40 dollars an hour like you think

A lower paid delivery driver with no excessive OT protections.Wow. Very enlightening. What exactly is the 22.4 thing?
Same thing here. You know this, but for anyone else not familiar with 22.4...try getting a part time employee making say, $16/hour to drive 60 hours a week for six days a week and since they have no seniority they'll be covering all the crappy routes, will get extra harassment because they're new and don't know their rights, and that nifty 9.5 list everyone is talking about doesn't apply to them. Oh and they get to do all that for an extra $4 an hour, which is half of what a driver of five years makes.Problem we are running into in my center is that PTers do not want to drive due to hours, work life balance, harassment, stress, etc.
By choice.A large majority of UPS Teamsters are earning less than $20/hr even after 15 years.
