And if Scott Davis and the Board were to vote UPS out of the contract with the IBT citing rising fuel costs and competition, while decreasing charges to customers (revenue, i.e. taxes), would the cheering continue?

It would be replaced by stunned silence followed by a collective "Oh, :censored2:".

But if in reality UPS was Bankrupt s--- happens !! As was once said in a good movie flick, "You can't handle the truth"
Also as long as we are in fantasy land if the described situation did happen you would have had people actually collective bargaining.
Not people on the same team trying to rig the game !!:happy-very:

If indeed Gov. Walker really did give out tax breaks to political friends and businesses, and in part used Wisconsins pending deficit in 2013 to go after the unions, could one not say that in fact Walker, his friends and business were trying to "rig the game". Remember, in NASCAR, it's the cheater that doesn't get caught that wins.:happy2:

In what way?
Its a slippery slope to union bashing, what Walker is doing. How do you make $30 an hour? Not because UPS thinks you are so special, (not saying you aren't :wink2:) but they would be paying us about $10 an hour less. Scott Davis is not trying to protect your job, either. He is trying to get the stock price higher than FedEx's. How do you do that? Easiest way is without the union. Just like Walker.

I agree but we are in a private sector union. Our wages, benefits and pension are not dependant upon taxpayer dollars but upon the ability of the company to generate a profit on an annual basis. As a taxpayer, especially a New York taxpayer, I have an issue with public sector unions.
