UPS deliveries delayed in Chicago, nationwide due to protests, road closures, company says – ABC 7

Long lines formed outside of the UPS customer center in the South Loop Monday night.

People came by the dozen and waited for hours.

“An hour and a half for one package” said Jazmyn Jefferson, a Bronzeville resident.

Many waited in line to pick up packages full of medicines and other essential items that they said just never came.

UPS stock sports a year-to-date loss of 8.9%. First-quarter earnings disappointed, although sales topped expectations. The company’s drivers are traveling farther and making more stops for lower-margin home deliveries, hammering margins.

Families of Columbus UPS drivers hold appreciation parade – WTVM

The families of Columbus UPS drivers are showing their appreciation for their loved ones and their big brown trucks.

James Brown, supervisor of the Columbus, Ga. UPS Center, says recent times have felt like their peak Christmas season, but they do not have the extra help that they would normally have.

To mark their appreciation, the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley teamed up with the families to host an appreciation parade.
