All these "great" 100% service. none are available in North Central WV. I have to drive to PA. or Morgantown to take advantage. There isn't even an in network Dentist in this area! I know it is WV but I like having teeth.

I didn't think there were any dentists in North Central WV. :) (I tried to find an emoticon with no teeth)

No MONDAY morning quarterback here... I been involved .... What's up with your sell out local,?,
Most of the same concessions as the master?? What good is being on your own if you are giving away the same concessions?? SELLOUT

Sent using BrownCafe App

So the last two locals still in negotiation are the sellouts? At least we didn't bend over the second the company unzipped it's pants.

You flip flop worse than Dan Marino, Mr. MMQ

Having a son who just recently. Had half of his brain removed we spent a total of over two months in the hospital and using a total of 12 weeks of FMLA (over a 9 month period) everything was covered with no worries now I feel like just handing over 2 grand to team care which is the same as paying about 200 a month...

Really does suck if you are a family that knows you will be spending the 2 grand each and every year

I am sorry for your son's health issues, but you are misinterpreting the health care plan.

I just had 2 surgical procedures a few months ago. Total billed was somewhere around $32k. My portion was $451, and that was only because surgical implants (not a boob job, you boobs, lol!) was covered at 80%, while everything else was covered at 100%.

My daughter had surgery a few years ago and it cost us NOTHING. Husband has had surgery for kidney stones twice, we paid nothing. My husband had wisdom teeth pulled and some other dental work done about a month ago, we paid zero for that, also. We have yet, with a family of 5, ever met a single or family out of pocket cap in all the years we have had Teamcare. The most we have ever paid for medical stuff has been braces for 2 of our kids, and that was after Teamcare paid $1500 for each of them.

Oh, I'm sure it is, but I think many are making accusations before they have even experienced it yet, and just exaggerating things based on poor reading comprehension. I consider myself lucky, especially with all the health things my daughter is going through right now, and just told my husband today that I couldn't imagine going through it without our current healthcare. Could it be better? Sure, if they wanted to pay every single thing at 100%, but I don't honestly expect that. I sleep well knowing that no matter what we go through over these next few weeks of trips to 2 different specialists, CT scans, ultrasounds, etc, that we aren't going to lose our home over it, as many have in this country. *shrugs* Maybe that's just me. So yeah, of course things can always be better, but they can also be sooo much worse.

It isn't the same, but still really good insurance. I wish the retirees would of got staggered deductions instead of all at once.

I was told everything would stay the same. It hasn't. It was a flat out lie. My coverage has gotten worse.
The Teamsters lied to me. UPS lied to me. Am I surprised? No, not in the least.

To add some substance for comparison between what UPS Pters paid before and could be paying now for an office visit to a specialist.

Last year I had to have my right shoulder looked at (and operated on). The initial office visit co pay was $10. Same as it would be now under TeamCare. However, during this office visit they also did an x-ray and an injection shot. I did not have any additional costs beyond the $10. UPS Aetna plan paid it all.

To be fair I don't have the full Plan Document for U3 on TeamCare, only the Summary. However, according to the summary under office visits it clearly states that any "additional costs may be owed for medical services beyond the office visit (eg x-rays, injections, lab tests, ect)". I will be reaching out to TeamCare for clarification on this later.

Looking at the "If you have a test" line below office visit, it appears the x ray would cost 20%. Assuming that the injection would be subject to that same 20%, my office visit last year that cost me $10 would now cost me a total of $55. This is based on the negotiated rate that Aetna paid on the charges from the medical provider, with me paying 20% out of pocket.

So yes us PTers have a legitimate complaint. I voted no on this contract. However if PTers don't step up across the board this is the crap that is dealt.

Most of us make half the pay rate and get less than half the time of the full timers. Our health benefits helped make up the difference. Now it appears that it won't be the case anymore.

I will update my findings once I find out for sure on this scenario.
