Pretty sure they will either way...Should the free riders get the same benefits in the RTW states with the new contract?
It’s a legal obligationShould the free riders get the same benefits in the RTW states with the new contract?
You shouldn’t be able to work a union job if you don’t pay union dues. Put your money where your mouth is and go get a different non union job
And half the Teamsters on here won’t vote their job when it comes time and vote for party line drivel instead. You shouldn’t be able to work a union job if you don’t pay union dues. Put your money where your mouth is and go get a different non union job
You’re right, I should vote for the people who want a man in a dress to spend time with my daughter. Then stop voting for RTW Republicans.
What if that man would only tax you 2 percent on your income? You’re right, I should vote for the people who want a man in a dress to spend time with my daughter.
Gettin somethin for nothin sounds like a Democrat to me.You’re right, I should vote for the people who want a man in a dress to spend time with my daughter.
How much will Union dues rise?
I'm going to guess it will be $125/month now.
Well worth itNo problem paying it. The negotiated raises, pension and health insurance it provides would cost way more.
Look up “exclusive representation” unions fought hard to be “forced” to represent non paying members. Their preference would be to force dues, but in rtw states exclusive representation is second best for the union. If they didn’t represent all employees then scabs could have their own contract (ups- hey we will pay you a dollar more if you join the tome union) or more likely a competitive union that promised better protection or benefits could come in. Under current law the only way for a workforce to change from one union to another would be to decertify, then re certify a new union which would result in a period without representation. The free riders are a small price to pay to avoid competitionWhy do freeloaders still get union representation if they don’t want to join?
so sounds like the best solution is no RTWLook up “exclusive representation” unions fought hard to be “forced” to represent non paying members. This up front raise is definitely going to be a big windfall for the unionWell worth it
Well I am a dues paying member in a rtw state and am sure I’m the minority, but I think the best solution is to offer a good service that people are happy to pay for. Having the option of replacing the union with another one? That would put real pressure on them to do better. I’m unaware of another situation where a legally enforced monopoly is considered a benefit except in unions.so sounds like the best solution is no RTW
